TONY BILLINGTON
PERSPECTIVE STAFF
When Tony Billington heard Margaux Poplaski, FCA’s Maine State Director, share about FCA at his church he was intrigued by a ministry that brings two of his passions together. Now he looks forward to having that fellowship of faith and sports with others who share his passion in his role as Central Maine’s Area Representative.
“I have seen the impact that huddles can have in the high schools and see what I missed out on because there wasn’t a huddle at my high school, and now I want to bring that to kids in the Central Maine schools because I see the impact it not only could have had, but will have on these kids’ futures.”
Billington attended Skowhegan Area High School where he was awarded the President’s Award for Educational Achievement and played soccer and baseball. He earned an AD in Accounting from Kennebec Valley Community College, and completed the Carpentry Program and Cooperative Education programs at Somerset Career & Technical Center.
Billington resides in Madison where he is an active volunteer for his church and community. He attends Christ Community Fellowship where he teaches Sunday School and is part of a men’s Bible study. His hobbies include doing anything in the outdoors, including sports, fishing and camping. He is also an avid woodworker and enjoys building furniture.
