CAITLYN PEARCE
NORTHWEST VERMONT AREA REPRESENTATIVE
Caitlyn grew up in Vermont and has lived here most of her life. When she graduated from Champlain College, Caitlyn moved to Texas to start her career with the Department of Homeland Security, and is where she met her husband, Parks. Caitlyn and Parks moved back to Vermont after they were married and now have three active kids that keep them busy with lots of sports and hobbies.
Since Caitlyn grew up as an athlete, and had coached throughout college, being active in her kids' sports and community as a coach and leader came naturally. When someone presented Caitlyn with the opportunity to become involved with FCA, she jumped at the opportunity. The thought of empowering individuals to become leaders within their sports and communities and to grow their relationship with Christ seemed surreal to Caitlyn, but was actually an answered prayer.
One of Caitlyn's favorite quotes is by Billy Graham: "A coach will impact more young people in one year than the average person does in a lifetime."
Caitlyn hopes to influence and encourage the coaches and athletes in Vermont to use their sport as a platform, and not a pedestal. FCA provides an amazing platform to help share the Good News with athletes through sports and helps to empower them and equip them to be great in their sport and everyday lives.
Caitlyn is motivated by the verse from Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus." It reminds her that, when it comes to achieving goals, accomplishments, and dreams, to do it all for His glory and His kingdom.
Caitlyn has witnessed God transforming the lives of coaches and athletes across the world with the powerful combination of sports and the Gospel. She can't wait to see Vermont and this community flourish with this opportunity and hopes others will join her in the journey that He has provided.
